The story of Additive Appearance

Establishing a university spin-off

Born out of long-standing research project at the Computer Graphics Group of Charles University (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics) we teamed up with CUIP, the technology transfer office of Charles University, to create a spin-off company that commercializes our research results. We have received close support from their legal and marketing team in setting up the company.

Partnership with Quantica

We partnered up with Quantica, a Berlin-based printer manufacturer, to build their slicer software called Quantica MultiSlice. Together we are planning to combine functional and appearance properties in one 3D print to produce end-use products with good aesthetics.

Podcast occurance

Our team member Alexander was invited for an interview in the CUIP podcast where he lays out how our company came to be and what our goals are. Listen for yourself at the links below!

PrismSlicer announcement

In November 2024, we demonstrated PrismSlicer, our full-colour slicer software, at Formnext, the leading trade show in the 3D printing business. After reaching out to a wider audience with a press release in May 2025, the media response was overwhelmingly positive and many interested companies have contacted us since.
